Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist (CSRS)
The CSRS™ enables physical and occupational therapists to become preeminent stroke clinicians through a rigorous set of courses culminating in a written examination and internationally-recognized credential.

Overview
The program consists of a four-tiered, stroke educational program. The certification begins with 9-hours of foundational content, delivered via an online learning management system. This content includes foundational concepts in stroke and neurorehabilitation (e.g., motor learning; neuroanatomy), and lays the groundwork for live labs and didactics. Required “knowledge checks” are delivered after each online learning module.
After completing all of the online learning content, attendees take part in live didactics and labs which build on this core knowledge, occurring in a Friday-Saturday-Sunday format on a single weekend.
The four-course series culminates in an online test administered via a secure website. Successful test completion with a score of 80% or above grants the CSRS™ certification, which are placed behind one’s professional credentials.

The November 6-8, 2026, CSRS course is being held at Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation located at 1 Siskin Plaza Chattanooga, TN 37403. The course will be held in First Floor Outpatient Gym in the Main Hospital. Please use the Main Entrance (which has a sign) and follow directions once in the hospital. A map to help with parking will be provided to registered participants.
The hosting facility will provide a light breakfast and afternoon snack. Lunch is own your own. There are several restaurant options nearby including:
- Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe – Market St.
- Jimmy John’s – Market St.
- Mellow Mushroom- Chattanooga Downtown- Broad St. – will need to do carryout
- Boathouse – Riverside Drive – will need to do carryout
While there is no dress code for the course, we do recommend you wear comfortable clothing (e.g. athletic wear).
