The CSRS™ enables physical and occupational therapists to become preeminent stroke clinicians through a rigorous set of courses culminating in a written examination and internationally-recognized credential.

Overview

The program consists of a four-tiered, stroke educational program. The certification begins with 9-hours of foundational content, delivered via an online learning management system. This content includes foundational concepts in stroke and neurorehabilitation (e.g., motor learning; neuroanatomy), and lays the groundwork for live labs and didactics. Required “knowledge checks” are delivered after each online learning module.

After completing all of the online learning content, attendees take part in live didactics and labs which build on this core knowledge, occurring in a Friday-Saturday-Sunday format on a single weekend.

The four-course series culminates in an online test administered via a secure website. Successful test completion with a score of 80% or above grants the CSRS™ certification, which are placed behind one’s professional credentials.

This course will be held at Northeast Rehabilation Hospital – Main Campus- located at 70 Butler Street, Salem, New Hampshire.  A map of the area and driving directions will be provided to participants.  There is free vsitor parking is located in the lot adjacent to the main entrance of the hospital.  The training will occur in the cafeteria and the outpatient gym 3.  The hosting facility will provide a light breakfast and afternoon snack.  Lunch is on your own.  There are several fast food places near the facility including: Chick Fil A, Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, Starbucks, Taco Bell, Ellie’s Farmhouse, Raising Cane’s, Crack’d Kitchen & Coffee,  Popeye’s, Caffe Artisan Espresso Bar & Coffee, Five Guys, Aroma Joe’s, Shake Shack,  Wendy’s, Chipotle, Jersey Mike’s, Corner on Main, Wrap City, Bennett’s Sandwich Shop and  Subway.  While there is no dress code for the course, we do recommend you wear comfortable clothing (e.g. athletic wear).
