Hosting a CSRS™ Course

Hosting a CSRS™ Course:

The CSRS™ course is only available as an in person course. The live/onsite portion of the CSRS™ series occurs during one “long” weekend, with each session lasting about 8 hours (8 AM until about 5 PM).

Course dates are usually planned and course sites are finalized 9-12 months in advance of the actual course date. Preference is given to locations in metropolitan areas, and that are proximal to other metropolitan areas.  We also consider how recently that we last held a course in that region or city and the proposed site’s proximity to a major airport. If a course was recently held in a particular city, we may be less likely to host a course in that city again for about 2-3 years, depending on demand.

Host facilities are provided with two “scholarships” for members of their team. These individuals are then expected to act as course “liaisons” on behalf of the facility.

There are no costs to the facility for hosting the course, and we handle all marketing, continuing education credits, and registrations. However, regional host sites are expected to provide a morning light breakfast and afternoon light snack.

CSRS™ Site Setup:

We wish to provide a high-quality, professional experience to registrants. Therefore, CSRS™ host facilities should meet the following requirements:

  • Lecture space: Able to provide seating and tables for 65 registrants. This space should have audiovisual capabilities including a large screen, a LCD projector and lapel microphones.
  • Laboratory space: Able to provide laboratory space for the lab components of the courses. Space that is in a separate room from the lecture space is not required. This space should have audiovisual capabilities including a screen, a LCD projector, and microphones. A total of at least 15 massage tables, plinths, or other tables should be located in the space, such that we have 3-4 attendees per table (see picture). Sturdy tables that can comfortably support a variety of attendee heights and weights during laboratory exercises may also be considered.
  • Onsite audiovisual/media support for the first day is necessary; onsite coverage for all three days on which courses are held is preferred. This allows us to troubleshoot if there are problems, or if attendees have special needs.
  • The facility should also feature wireless Internet access, since all attendee materials are situated online.
  • Experience with hosting previous CEU events is preferred.

Hosting a Live Webinar or Seminar With Us

Are you interested in hosting a live webinar or an in-person seminar for your staff or community?

We’ll collaborate with your group to develop a personalized course that features timely, in-depth, presentations on a variety of neurorehabilitation diagnoses including stroke, SCI, acquired brain injury, and movement disorders.

Unlike the CSRS, we curate the content for these courses specifically with you/your team, and individualize the course to fit your needs. Set-up needs will vary according to the focus of the course but are usually not as stringent as those needed for the CSRS™.
